All four classes have been getting reacquainted with the parts this speech, the last few weeks. Please look for a take-home quiz on Wednesday. We’ll start the quiz in class and have students finish it at home. Assignments will generally be graded and grades posted in three to four school days. The exceptions are papers and projects, which may take two weeks or more, depending on length and complexity.
Welcome to our second full week of language arts. Procedures are in place, and students are focused, so it’s on! This week sees us finishing up the short story “Seventh Grade,” by Gary Sotto, and starting into the story “Zebra,” by Chaim Potak. We will also be going into our second week’s work in both spelling and Word Build. Please make sure all students are actively studying spelling each night for 10-15 minutes and completing Word Build sections each night. Spelling sentences are due Thursday and completed Word Build packets are due on Friday.
